THE TIME IS JUST ABOUT UP.

The time is getting close, people are starting to react and organise themselves more and more, groups of concerned people are coming together to start a reaction that this State has not experienced since the Eureka Stockade. No, I am not talking about an armed conflict between troops and the common worker, What I am talking about is the backlash that all State Government representatives and all Councillors and Council Executives can expect if there is not an end to the dictatorial attitudes of these pumped up so called bureaucrats.

        We, as the people cannot do or say anything nowadays without some kind of government intervention, take the average suburban block of land with an average house and a garage, on today’s prices somewhere around $300,000.00. I pay out all of this money and yet I don’t own it. Oh ! that’s right, I pay all the land taxes, stamp duty etc., I pay the rates at an ever increasing amount far above any CPI,  yet after all of this I still have to maintain a stretch of nature strip that is not mine yet I am made responsible for it through the Local Government Act legislation, I can even be told when to cut my grass, weed my garden, what time I can put my bin out and for that matter what time I can take it back in, I have a council that is making me construct storage for a bicycle even though I don’t have or want one, I have a by-law that won’t let me park on my nature strip yet if I park in the road there is not enough room for another vehicle to pass unless they drive on the said nature strip, the list goes on and on and on yet we just sit back and take it.

        People in the country area’s are just as badly off as well, wind farms that apart from being inefficient and no-one wants are now forced on them whether they like it or not, toxic dumps are designated for their area even though they don’t generate any toxic waste themselves, valuable water sold off to other State’s while we undergo water restrictions, if we have a dam we have to ask for permission to use the water for irrigation, a government that for some vague reason cannot or will not build more dams yet want to cram another 1 million more people into the metropolitan area, green wedge legislation that destroys the plans of people who had previously purchased land to develop for their retirement, all of this is compounded and confounded by ministers who would be flat out planning a one way trip up the Hume despite having a whole department to help them, and a map. I don’t care what political persuasion they are, what their gender is or their respective age, they just do not represent the people any more.

        When are these ‘politicians’ going to realise that if we had enough intelligence to elect a government then we have enough intelligence to understand that we don’t need to be told what to do by government, that they were elected to make our piece of the world a great place to live, to govern wisely and most importantly to maintain prudent expenditure, now we have a situation where our hospitals are in dire need of extra funding and they are made to wait until the money becomes available to implement treatment, but, when it comes to making $280,000.00 available to have the Olympic torch run around the state for nine hours, or to have a mobile crane sit idle for 2 months at a cost over $280,000.00 the money is there ready and waiting, the giving of five benches to a Russian park along with the expenditure of over $30,000.00 for air fairs, the purchase of luxury vehicles so our poor politicians can drive from home to work in the luxury of knowing that they will never have to pay for the pleasures, they could do the same in a stock standard Ford, Commodore or Camry.

        We are lied to at election times and then we are treated like fools and denigrated because we dare to protest. To stop the protest they then introduce legislation to overcome all manner of problems, Federal and State governments introduce new schemes with the promise of funding then after a few years the funding ceases but the scheme is now entrenched and the funding falls onto the taxpayer or ratepayer, with costs getting higher and higher each and every year.

        If our elected leaders keep treating the people with disdain then they can expect a revolt at the ballot box that has never been experienced in the history of Australia, We as the electors of all future governments should give a lot of thought as to how we can organise a large number of independent, fair dinkum candidates who could form a bi-partisan government, just because everything is supposed to revolve around Liberal or Labor doesn’t mean we can’t throw them out on their respective ears and install a government that will address the concerns of all Australian’s, adopting policies that will be good for our country no-matter what political party thought of it, give the people back their rights to initiate referendums and plebiscites, throw out the discrimination between different groups like Aboriginal, White, Asian, etc. if you live here you all have exactly the same rights and have to live by the same laws – if you don’t like it then don’t come here to live. get rid of this stupid idea that the opposition is there only to destroy the credibility of the elected government,

That it doesn’t matter who is in government or opposition, the only thing that matters is that the people of Australia and their Independent States get the absolute,100%, maximum effort from their elected officials to look after this country and it’s people.

        This is not anarchy or wishful thinking, look around you, ask your friends and neighbours how they feel and you will soon learn that people are sick and tired of all the rubbish and financial waste coming out of our Parliaments and Council Offices. Let your politicians know that we all expect a damn sight more than we are getting at present, that if they don’t lift their respective performances and start representing us, we will dump them at the next elections and keep doing so till we find decent people and parties who will.

        The main thing that all of these political parties count on is the lack of interest that you and I will take about how this State or City/Shire is run through taxes/rates and how much of these Taxes/Rates are wasted on making the politicians comfortable, well I for one don’t care if a politician is comfortable, they are well paid and each and every one of them stated right from the start that “I got involved because I felt I could make a difference”

well they certainly have made a difference haven’t they. They try to fix things that ain’t broke and the things that are broke just get neglected and attacked with excuses and innuendo.

So to all politicians, Federal, State and Local Councils be warned
